One of my neighbor’s Monarch butterfly caterpillars has made it to the next level! The bright yellow colored specs in the photo are actually a color gold that resembles little specs of gold leaf – beautiful.

My view of this wonderful and crazy life - as I travel and explore.
Bienvenue. I’m thinking this is the spot where I am to write a witty, flowery personal section that pulls you in......I got nuthin’
It’s great that you discovered this, this is really beautiful. I probably wouldn’t have noticed it there!
We were watching the caterpillars pretty closely hoping to see one transform.
You’ve got a really beautiful shot there! I’m in awe. I hope you manage to capture it when it transforms! 🙂
Take a look at the gallery of three images in the sidebar. Although I can’t vouch for the caterpillar, the Monarch and chrysalis pictured are the same individual. I also have some video of caterpillars devouring milkweed that I’m editing for posting.
I saw (didn’t click) that after I posted the comment. Was actually thinking to myself if that was from the same picture!
